September: 10 Open House. Time for the open house: 11 am - 1 pm
September: 24 - first day of classes
October: 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
November: 5, 19 - no classes on Nov 12, 26
December: 3, 10, 17 - no classes on Dec 24, 31

NEW class this semester:

Computer Science, for 4-7 graders

Did you ever want to learn how to code? This course is meant for students with little to no experience and will cover essential programming concepts such as variables, control structures, and data structures. The course will run at the students pace and will include interactive lessons and projects, as well as discussions about new topics in technology and ways to get more involved with the community.

About Ms. Elizabeth “Liz” Petrov

Elizabeth “Liz” Petrov is an incoming Senior at High School South. She has been coding since she was in elementary school and has since taken countless Computer Science classes in school and pursued many personal projects. She has been recognized for her work in CS as a National Center for Women in Information Technology National Winner (an award given to only 50 high schoolers every year), an Apple Worldwide Developer’s Conference Scholar, and on Mogul’s 50 High Schoolers you Need to Know. She is an aspiring entrepreneur and has a couple published apps in the app store (search up “Overflow Blocks” to find one of her games).
