The Math Kangaroo Contest is coming up soon! It is on March 15th!

Young children are not experienced with Math Olympiad type problems and often are completely lost the first time they see such a contest.

To expose young students to contest problems and word problems, SchoolPlus Enrichment will offer a 5-hour course, given over 5 consecutive weeks, for 1st/2nd graders.

Who: 1st and 2nd graders. 1st and 2nd graders will be taking the same Kangaroo contest, so they will be able to work well together in this class.

Day and time: The lessons will be on Sundays 2:20 p.m. to 3:20 p.m., with an additional 30 minutes after each lesson to take a practice Olympiad. The teacher will check it and then discuss it with the children at the next lesson

Dates: Feb 11th, 18th, 25rd and March 4nd and 11th, for a total of five sessions.

Where: Linwood Middle school.

Cost: $200 /course

Teacher: Mrs. Mary Marvin. Mrs. Mary has been working with young children in SchoolPlus for many years and created an original program to teach young kids problem-solving.
