I have received my combined BS/MS degree in 1992 in Chemistry after studying Physical Chemistry and Enzymology at the Department of Chemistry, Moscow State University. In 1994 I have graduated out of the Biochemistry PhD program at the Department of Biology and Belozerski Institute of Biophyscs, Moscow State University.

Since then I have spent more than 10 years doing Biochemistry research in the United States. I have done research of biochemistry of mitochondia at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and studied crystallography and drug design at the Department of Biochemistry, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. I have also done some studies of solar cells. At the present I teach Chemistry at the Suffolk Community College.

One of my old hobbies was a field biology research. Since I was a teen I have been helping zoologists, botanists and soil scientists working in various russian preserves: The Preserve of Caucases, Teberda Preserve, and the Central Siberian Preserve.

This year I will be happy to teach a combination of Geo Sciences such as Geography (mostly), Geology, and Geometry (a bit) to young kids.
