Being a teacher is one of the most creative professions, where you must use a diversity of tools, resources and strategies for each child to accomplish a significant learning experience. My goals as a teacher are guiding each child in his journey to learn about the world, respecting their personality, building character and trust in their own skills and abilities.

My background is multicultural: born in USA, raised in Uruguay, and Armenian descent. This mixture enabled my understanding of the cultural diversity. I also speak, read and write in all three languages.

I transited most of the art forms: piano college student, architecture college student, photography, graphic design, painting, pottery, Armenian folk dance and tango. Since I enjoy all these forms of expressions, I share my experiences and stimulate creativity in my students.

I graduated as a Preschool/Primary Teacher in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1999. With more than 13 years of classroom experience, I gradually shifted my interest towards Computer Science and online tutoring.

One of the highlights of my teaching and mentoring activities in Uruguay was the opportunity to be part of the innovative project called Plan Ceibal, which comes from the MIT/OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) program. Our initial training to use laptops (Sugar operative system – Open Source) transpired into creating special programs and mentoring teachers – first in Uruguay and later in Armenia (Plan Nur project). In this instance, initial classroom lessons for Teachers were followed by an online tutoring through an educational platform. My responsibilities included detailed planning of the entire program including install, setup and troubleshooting of the hardware and software for these laptops.
