| PROGRAM | Albert Einstein once said, “If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.” This class is designed to stimulate your child’s interest in reading with fairy tales, folk tales, and short poetry while reinforcing his or her academic skills with a rich, workbook-based curriculum that aligns to the Common Core. Weekly assignments will include grammar, vocabulary, and writing. Students will become familiar with all stages of the writing process and with the practice of peer review. Assessments will include vocabulary tests, grammar quizzes, and writing assignments that review the skills the children have been learning. |
