| PROGRAM | Math 8b The class will continue the study of Algebra I. Students should already have knowledge of basic algebra techniques, equation of a line, solving 1st degree equations and inequalities, forming and solving simple algebraic word problems. We will move further into working with integer exponents, radicals, and quadratic equations, including factoring methods, solving quadratic equations, the quadratic formula, and accompanying word problems. Different kinds of equations, such as fractional, radical will be studied. |
