Important announcements
In School-Plus, we believe that early exposure to Math concepts provides a strong foundation for later academic success. Multiple studies have shown that early exposure to Math understanding at Kindergarten/1st grade (4 to 6 years old) is a strong predictor not only of success in Math, but also of more advanced reading level, and better grades across a variety of subjects. With this in mind, this year SchoolPlus in North Brunswick is offering several math classes for students ages 4-6.
In these classes, we introduce much more than counting and basic number operations. Students will be given logic problems; will solve (and make up!) many word problems; they will be working with shapes learning spacial concepts, and.more. For younger children, many activities are done in game form.
Our teacher is David Ovetsky, a School Plus alumni studying math for many years with Mrs. Mary Marvin
Currently we offer two Kindergarten-level classes, 45 minutes each, at 9:45 - 10:30 am, and 10:35-11:20 am, and a 1st grade class 11:30-12:30.
